I find delight in constructing creative pieces.

<Shooting Squares>

For this garment, I got inspired by the book “Pattern Magic” and used the technique “Lumps and bumps (dekoboko)”. This technique “evolved from an idea to incorporate dekoboko (an uneven surface) decoration into a garment. Attaching cubes onto a base is in itself interesting, but when the cubes are connected with design lines, the undulating lines come alive.” I made the cubes bigger as it reaches the end of the dress. The cubes come from curly seams and stand out with pink shiny vinyl which has an impression of Shooting Star.

Everything about life is contrast. There is light and dark contrast, light and heavy contrast. I believed there could be contrast within the theme of clothing and fashion too. I wanted to put my clothing, which looks a little robotic, in a still, nature-like setting.
